Privacy Policy
PostureMax measures your posture with your iPhone’s camera. The measuring happens on your phone, and your images never leave it.
Last updated October 15, 2026
The short version
- Your camera frames and photos are processed on your iPhone. We never receive them.
- The app keeps the landmarks and measurements it computes, such as your Slouch Gap and Upright Score.
- If you allow it, Meta receives only generic events: that the app was installed, that a trial started, and that you subscribed. Nothing about your scan, body or answers.
- RevenueCat handles purchases and subscriptions. Apple takes the payment.
Who we are
PostureMax is published by [legal name of the developer], the “we” in this policy. You can reach us at support@posturemax.app.
Your camera, photos and scans
When you scan, the app reads your camera frames, or a photo you choose, and finds body landmarks such as your ear, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle. This runs on your iPhone with an on-device pose model. Frames and photos are not uploaded to us or to anyone else.
From the landmarks, the app calculates measurements: your Slouch Gap, your Upright Score and the angles behind them, overhead reach and the results of your sessions. It stores these landmarks and measurements on your phone so it can show your progress and compare your rescans. It does not keep face landmarks. A photo you pick for a scan stays in the app’s own storage on your phone and is excluded from device backups.
If we ever ask to use scans to improve our measurements, it will be a separate choice that is off unless you turn it on.
Your answers and settings
Your age, height, goals, equipment, reminder time and plan progress are stored on your phone to build and run your plan. PostureMax doesn’t need an account.
Advertising measurement
We use Meta’s software development kit to learn which of our ads lead to installs and subscriptions. It receives only generic events with neutral names: an install, the start of a trial, and a subscription. It never receives your photos, measurements, answers or anything about your posture or body. Where iOS asks whether the app may track you, Meta receives your device’s advertising identifier only if you allow it.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check which plan you have and whether your trial or subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase records. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Reminders
Session and trial reminders are scheduled on your phone by iOS. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data.
- We don’t receive your photos or camera frames.
- We don’t share your measurements with advertisers.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your scans and measurements stay on your phone until you delete them. Deleting the app deletes them. To ask about anything we hold, such as purchase records with RevenueCat, email us and we’ll answer within 30 days.
Age
PostureMax is for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
