Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the PostureMax app and this website. By using PostureMax you agree to them, and to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.

What PostureMax is, and isn’t

PostureMax is a posture coach. It measures how you stand with your phone’s camera and gives you exercises to practise standing upright. It is not a medical device. It doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it doesn’t replace advice from a doctor or physiotherapist.

Exercise safety

Stop if anything hurts or tingles, and check with a doctor if you have a medical condition. If pain gets worse during a session, end it and talk to a clinician. You exercise at your own risk.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older.

Subscriptions and the free trial

• The scan, your result and Day 1 of the plan are free.
• Annual costs $39.99 a year and starts with a 7-day free trial. Monthly costs $9.99 a month and has no trial.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling during the trial means you aren’t charged.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Measurements

Your Slouch Gap, Upright Score and other numbers are estimates from your camera. They depend on how the phone is placed and how you stand, and they can vary between scans. They are for tracking your own practice, not for medical decisions.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. Don’t copy, reverse-engineer or resell it.

Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
